| Meeting of the Eumedis Health Cluster - Paris 24-25/01/2003 |
| The EUMEDIS Health cluster has scheduled a meeting in France, at EUTELSAT S.A. premises (70 rue Balard, 75015 Paris), the 24-25th January 2003. The meeting will be chaired by Pr. L. Beolchi (EC) in the presence of representants of the following EUMEDIS Projects : EUMEDCONNECT, EMISPHER, PARADIGMA, BURNET and EUMED.
The 24th afternoon will consist in live demonstrations of the satellite and internet platform developed by EMISPHER and of a presentation of the EUMEDCONNECT project by a representative of RENATER (France).
The draft agenda of the 25th morning is as follows :
09h30 - 09h45 Opening Session (L. Beolchi, EC)
9h45 - 10h30 Synergies between the EUMEDIS Projects: common portal, contents, etc.
10h30 - 11h30 Creation of a EUMEDIS Health Consulting Committee ?

| Kick-off meeting in Palermo, 23-25 October 2002 |
| The EMISPHER Kick-off meeting was organised in Palermo, Sicily - Italy last 23-25 October 2002.
The meeting was hosted by IsMeTT (Instituto Mediterraneo per i Trapianti e Terapie ad Alta Specializzazione), one of the partners of the project. All project partners were attending the meeting.
The agenda was covering live demonstrations, project management and contractual issues, as well as meetings with the regional authorities of Sicily, visit of IsMeTT facilities, a press conference with the local media and a meeting with representatives of another project framed in the EUMEDIS initiative (BURNET : Euro-mediterranean Burn Centres Network). |

| Meeting of the Eumedis Health Cluster - Bari 21/11/2002 |
| At the invitation of Pr. Luciano BEOLCHI of the European Commission, the projects EMPHIS, EMISPHER, EUMED, PARADIGMA and BURNET participated to a joint meeting in Bari (Italy), last November 11th - 2002. The objective was to study the possibilities for permanent cross-projects coordination and cooperation to maximise the impact of the overall EUMEDIS initiative in the area of Health.
The agenda covered the following points : technical platform, contents acquisition and distribution, web sites : a common portal ?, common conferences, clinical pathways, permanent coordination. |

| Site survey in Clermont-Ferrand - 18th November 2002 |
| A site survey meeting took place last 18th November 2002 in Clermont-Ferrand, at the initiative of Pr. M.A. BRUHAT. Representants from the University of Clermont-Ferrand, the Regional Hospital, the Centre International de Chirurgie Endoscopique (CICE), EUTELSAT S.A. and TELEMEDICINE TECHNOLOGIES S.A. attended the meeting.
The objective of the meeting was to perform the so-called "site survey", a technical survey of the site to prepare the installation of the satellite DSAT Antenna and its interconnection to the local area network of the hospital and of the university. |

| Progress Meeting "Medical Assistance" - Niort, 4/10/2002 |
| A progress meeting took place in Niort, at IMA premises, the 4th October 2002. The meeting was attended by IMA and TELEMEDICINE TECHNOLOGIES S.A.
The objective of the meeting was to study and schedule a first deployment phase for Medical Assistance service within EMISPHER and to adjust the development plan for the up-coming period (Nov.2002 - May 2003). |
